The First Day

After some extensive talks with my therapist and a lot of self-reflection, I came to the realization today that I am trans. I am no longer who I was before, but someone new. Like the Phoenix arising out of the flame, I am reborn.

It feels surreal coming to the understanding with my inner voice and just realizing what I was always meant to be, but I feel a lot happier right now. I’ve been told gender is a journey, so if this doesn’t stick, I hope no one thinks I’m doing it for attention, I’m just trying to figure out who I am and carve my own path.
